Zip Around, Basic Operations, Set B
Word problems come alive as questions and answers zip around the classroom! "Who has 5 + 6?" triggers another student's response of "I have 11. Who has 6 times 4, minus 1?" Play continues through 32 cards and returns to the beginning. Players can be assigned as many cards as the size of the group requires. Features four levels of play and cycles. Switching among levels keeps everyone involved. Zip Around is a great way to develop oral speaking and listening skills while practicing math. Can be played with the entire class, in small groups, or as solitaire. This set contains all four basic operations with a higher level of word problems than Set A. Some examples: half of 6, times 5; 7 minus (2 x 3); 8 divided by 4, plus (2 x 2); and 8 plus the square root of 36.
